1. Timeline of World History from 3,400 BC to AD 2,000
With more than 14,000 unique entries in 25 main categories and over 250 sub-categories, and 3,000+ accompanying comments, there's much to explore.
Additionally, there are over 450 entries in 8 Summary Timelines and a Family Tree of the Julio-Claudian Roman Emperors.
Originally just a timeline of Roman Emperors, this was expanded to include some important historical landmarks of ancient Roman Civilisation. Then, given the close ties with ancient Greece, an ancient Greek timeline was added.
Apart from this, there was no grand plan for its expansion; all other categories merely reflecting some of the interests of the creator.
2. Family Tree of the Greek Gods
Inspired by the Greek and Roman Gods and their stories, presented here is a Family Tree of the principle Greek Primordial Deities, Titans, Gods and Goddesses, and some important Heroes.
Another condensed version is given on a separate tab based on the Genealogy found in the 'Theogony' of Hesiod who was more or less a contemporary of the great epic poet Homer.
With more than 2.000 entries and over 100 accompanying comments, there's much to explore.

The World History Timeline and the Family Tree of the Greek Gods have been created using MS Excel.
For the best user experience they should be viewed and edited using Excel.
Due to the size of the timeline and family tree, and the large number of entries, the viewing experience using the free online version of Microsoft Excel will be limited.
Devices:
For the best experience, the timeline and family tree should be viewed on a laptop or desktop screen.
The timeline and family tree can also be viewed on Apple and Android tablets and phones.
However, please be aware, that on a small screen, such as a phone, the viewing experience will be limited.

Can I still use the products if I don't have excel?
To enjoy the full features of the World History Timeline and Family Tree of the Greek Gods, it is recommended you use the Excel desktop app which is part of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
Mac users can use Excel for Mac.
Do I need to have the most up to date version of excel?
If you have Microsoft Excel 2007 for PC or later, or Excel 2011 for Mac or later, you can use all the features of the timeline and family tree.
The exception is the macro functionality which is not accessible in the Mac version. We are looking to develop a Mac specific version in the future.
Do I need to be an expert in excel to be able to use the
products properly?
The World History Timeline and Family Tree of the Greek Gods are very easy to use.
Navigation instructions are included to help you move around the large amount of information, but if you can use a mouse or touchscreen, you’re good to go.
Are any special excel tools/features used to create the Timeline and Family Tree?
Yes, the files contains a macro to address a known issue with Excel where comments are not always displayed correctly.
Comments will sometimes not display all the text or may appear as a thin horizontal line rather than a correctly sized yellow text box.
The macro offers a straight-forward fix by resizing the comment with a keyboard shortcut (Control Q).
Where do I find the instructions on how to use the Timeline and Family Tree?
Instructions are included as part of the timeline and family tree as a separate tab in the files.
Can I add my own entries to the Timeline and Family Tree?
Yes, both the Timeline and Family Tree will come to you as editable files, so you can add as many new entries as you like.
The timeline also comes with detailed instructions for how to so this.
Can I trust the quality of the information in the Timeline and Family Tree?
Yes, all entries have been fact checked to the best of the
creator’s ability.
